In mixing bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, sugar, brown sugar, butter and egg to make dough. If dough is too dry to form into ball, add water. Form into log and wrap in parchment paper. Refrigerate 1 hour.
Heat oven to 350 F.
Roll dough out and cut into shapes with cookie cutters. Place on cookie sheet covered in parchment paper and bake 8-10 minutes. Let cool on rack then dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
Simmering Potpourri
Heat oven to 300 F.
Slice orange, lemon and lime then place on covered baking sheet. Bake about 45 minutes. Watch to make sure fruit doesn’t burn. Let cool then add to jar with rosemary, thyme and cloves

Chai Vanilla Tea
Place tea bags in jar with cinnamon sticks. Tie instruction card to jar reading: Place tea bag in 8 ounces hot water and stir with cinnamon stick. Add sugar and honey to sweeten, if desired.
