Quench your thirst during or after a day in the sun with refreshing libations loaded with the flavors of summer. These tasty beverages beckon with lemons, cherries, orange juice and your favorite solutions for cooling down in the shade – with or without alcohol.

Lemonade – Three ingredients are all you need for a summer classic that’s kid-friendly and pairs well with warm-weather foods. Dissolve sugar in a saucepan with a splash of water then combine a pitcher of water with the dissolved sugar and fresh-squeezed lemon juice for the taste of tradition.
Slushies – Take it up a notch with chopped fresh fruit, ice and sparkling water. For extra flavor, add herbs or mix-ins like mint, honey, lemon, lime or vanilla.

Iced tea – Another easy, traditional refreshment, iced tea requires just two ingredients: water and tea bags. Satisfy that sweet tooth by adding sugar and make it a true summer treat with lemon slices and fresh mint.
Sangria – For the adults, sangria combines fresh fruits like cherries and plums with sweet red wine and lemon soda. Serve over ice.
Mimosas – Enjoy with or without alcohol! Start with sparkling wine and orange juice for simplicity then add fresh fruit like orange slices or cherries for an extra special touch. For a non-alcoholic version, swap out sparkling wine for sparkling grape juice.
