Let’s talk too-good-to-be-true pasta salad for a minute. There are a ton of pasta salads out there. Too many to name if truth be told. Some are strictly sides but there are a few that can pass as a main dish – this is one of those pasta salads.
This Easy Peasy Pasta Salad might become your family’s next favorite meal. Its versatility alone is worth giving this pasta salad a try. I’m not saying it will replace your favorite macaroni and cheese, but it might become a close second, especially in the hot summer months. Now that’s what I call a real deal of a summertime meal!

Easy Peasy Pasta Salad
Ingredients
- 1 pound pasta noodles of choice
- 1 can peas, drained 15 ounces
- 1 can carrots, drained 15 ounces
- 1 package diced ham 16 ounces
- 1 package real bacon pieces 2 1/2 ounces
- 1 package cheddar cheese cubes 6 ounces
- 2 1/2 cups mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 cup juice from bread butter pickles
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and place in large bowl. Add peas, carrots, ham, bacon pieces and cheese cubes.
- In separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, sugar, pickle juice, vinegar and mustard. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Pour mixture over pasta and mix well.
- Refrigerate 1-2 hours before serving.
