Halloween treats may bring to mind chocolatey sweets and after-dinner desserts, but you can bring seasonal fun to the breakfast table, too! From pumpkin pancakes or muffins to apple cinnamon delights, adding fall flavors to morning meals is a cinch.
For an extra spooky way to kick off All Hallow’s Eve, give these Monster Donuts from A Spicy Perspective a try. All you need are glazed donuts (storebought or homemade), white frosting and your favorite decorations.
- Start by spreading frosting over each donut.
- Invite kiddos to decorate each “monster” with sprinkles, candies or other delicious goodies.
- Finish the Frankenstein-like creations with edible candy eyes.
- For an extra scary touch, insert plastic fangs into the hole of each donut. Be careful, these little “monsters” may bite back!
