Let’s talk oldies but goodies for a minute. Not too long ago, I was flipping through an old church cookbook. I came across this recipe. I tweaked it just a bit. I changed the chocolate chips to mini chips and halved it because I don’t need 60 cookies in my kitchen. If you do need that many, just double the butter, sugars, flour and chocolate chips and it should yield a double batch.
To my surprise and amazement, this recipe makes the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever made. They are still soft two days later, no joke. Here’s the thing, I don’t know whose grandma made these for her grandkids, but this grandma is going to continue the tradition. The recipe may be older than dirt but, boy howdie, are these cookies good. Now that’s what I call a savvy humdinger of a cookie!
Till next time, I will be Doin’ My Best at Cookin’ Savvy!
