Let’s talk savvy tacos for a minute. Tacos don’t have to be ground beef and lettuce in a hard shell. Tacos are truly limitless to your imagination. Some have even gone as far as to put fish in their tacos. I am not that person, but we can do better than just the basics.
With this Savory Street Tacos recipe, you can take your tacos to the next level of tasty. So, whether you need to feed a big crowd or just your family, give this recipe a try. It could make taco Tuesday the best night of the week. Now that’s what I call a savvy tasty taco of a meal.

Savory Street Tacos
Ingredients
- 1 chuck roast 2-3 pounds
- 1 package taco seasoning
- 1 can beef consommé 10 ounces
- 16-20 street taco tortillas
- 1 package shredded cheese 8 ounces
- 1/4 cup avocado oil
- salsa for serving
- guacamole for serving
- queso for serving
Instructions
- Cover chuck roast with taco seasoning then place in slow cooker. Pour beef consommé over roast and cook on low 6 hours to braise.
- Heat oven to 425 F.
- Use fork to shred roast.
- Brush outside of tortillas with avocado oil and fill with meat and shredded cheese. Place in casserole dish and bake 10-15 minutes until tacos reach desired crispiness.
- Place on tray and serve with salsa, guacamole and queso.
