Breakfast bell ringing? There’s a good chance you’re serving one of the most popular morning meals: fried eggs.
If you’re an egg lover who’s not sure exactly how to fry an egg to your liking, give these steps a shot:
- Warm your pan over medium heat and crack eggs into the skillet.
- For sunny side up, cover the pan once the edges of the eggs start to turn white. This allows steam to gently cook the egg whites while keeping the yolk nice and runny.
- If sunny side up is a bit too runny for your liking, skip the cover and flip eggs once the whites start to set.
- For over-easy, cook just 1 minute on second side.
- For over-medium, cook 2 minutes on second side.
- For over-hard, cook 3 minutes on second side.
